Planmakers brings extensive experience in researching historic building documents, working with historical agencies, meeting preservation guidelines, and supporting the design and rehabilitation of
numerous
historic Idaho buildings. Rehabilitation projects including the
Boise Depot, Hoff Building, Boise City National Bank, GAR Hall, Bown
House, Idaho Black History Museum, Log Cabin Literary Center, and the
Centennial House. Historic district projects include the
8th Street
Marketplace, Old Idaho Penitentiary, Hyde Park Odd Fellows Building, Old
Boise Masonic Hall, and C.W. Moore Park.


Planmakers prepared a study on Idaho's commemoration of the Lewis and Clark Expedition Bicentennial for the Governor's Executive Committee. A similar study for Idaho's commemoration of the Oregon Trail Sesquicentennial outlined numerous trail and interpretive improvements for Southern Idaho. Plans have been implemented for historic sites including the Rock Creek Station and Stricker Homesite Master Plan, and the Chesterfield Conservation Plan. Other work includes preparing design guidelines for commercial and residential historic districts.
