Planmakers realizes that city entryways reflect the quality of life and give travelers their initial image of a community. Maintaining an attractive image and making visitors aware of points of interest and services makes good business sense. Planmakers has assisted communities in stimulating welcome signs, entrance beautification projects, streetscape enhancement, historic building façade programs, and arts district planning.
Boise Gateway Plan

- Planmakers prepared an analysis and an improvement program for Boise's entrances. The study identified the special qualities of city’s highway entrances, airport, train depot, and bus station and outlined opportunities for enhancing them. Key successes include updated Boise Airport welcome signage, the rehabilitation of the Boise Depot, beatification and lighting projects on Vista Avenue, Capitol Boulevard, and I-84.
